For years Betty Boop had the monopoly on sexy cartoon ladies until Jessica Rabbit exploded onto our screen in the classic movie `Who Framed Roger Rabbit?` who could forget her as stage show queen and the hapless title character`s wife. This character was perhaps the first to allow us to find a cartoon character sexually attractive and she led the way for the sexy cartoon babes of the modern era.
Marge Simpson, The Simpsons
When the Simpsons was initially released into the World the animations was very much different to the cartoons we see today, the changes have been so gradual you may not have noticed but look back at one of the episodes from the first a series back in 1990 and the difference is quite obvious. As the cartoon has grown as have the characters, none more than Marge who has gone from a frumpy housewife to a sexy domestic goddess. This character is much a part of our childhoods that it is hard not to find Marge Simpson attractive in one way or another.
Turanga Leela, Futurama
Turanga Leela is our favourite sexy cartoon mutant, Leela`s on-off relationship with Fry and love triangle with Amy Wong in Futurama have really sexed up the series at times and we find ourselves looking past and even embracing the fact that she only has one eye. Leela is a strong, ass-kicking woman who doesn`t take no crap from anybody and this makes her even more appealing to some.

Amy Wong plays the role of the ditsy spoilt daddy`s girl in Futurama. Her character has had on-off relationships with Fry as well as Kip, a slimy green alien and is best friends with fellow sexy cartoon character Leela. All this as well as her infamous bikini snap scene have left many to look at Amy in a different way and led many cosplayers to recreate her look at conventions.
Francine Smith, American Dad
Francine Smith is the Blonde bombshell who is married to the title character of Stan Smith in American Dad, during the James Bond Parody episode TearJerker which is pictured Francine plays perhaps her sexiest role as Sexpun. Despite Stan`s often neglectful behaviour towards Francine she portrays the loyal wife even though there are many who would nothing more than to take her off his hands.
Stripperella, Stripperella
Striperella is an animated series aimed at adults and created by none other than Marvel founder Stan Lee. Erotica Jones, the lead character is a stripper who is also a super heroine, let`s just hope crime only happens on her nights off! The show is full of topless nudity and rude puns and is definitely not a classic on a par with many on our list but we just couldn`t resist adding her to the list.

Betty Boop was not just the first cartoon sex symbol she was one of the first sex symbols on tv in any genre and has survived from her black and white origins to the colour version we have today. Betty Boop`s popularity has still shown no signing of slowing down and she is a popular character in the cosplay circuit.
